Lawn Maintenance

Lawn mowing and maintenance is the basis of our work here at Country Green. We plant, mow and maintain lawns for single family homes, condo developments and commercial properties.

At Country Green our team understands that i the hot summer months it’s important to be careful not to mow the grass too short, or too often. Cutting the grass too short will hurt your lawn and it can even promote the growth of weeds and lawn diseases. Leaving grass clipping on the lawn will help to protect your yard and it will also put back nutrients into you lawn and reduce the need for fertilizers.

In some cases, it could be a good idea to have us aerate your lawn. That just means we will come in and make tiny holes and they in turn will allow more water and nutrient into the soils. It’s usually best to have us test the moisture level in your soils first. That way we can make certain the aeration will truly be effective for your lawn.

No matter what type of property you have, it’s always a good idea to keep your lawn looking green and lush, and to have some plants and colorful flowers in your landscape theme. A neatly trimmed, green and healthy lawn makes a great first impression on people who visit your home or business.

Creating Curb Appeal

Creating Curb Appeal

According to HGTV, first impressions are everything – at least when it comes to selling your home. According to the National Association of Realtors, 63 percent of homebuyers will drop by after viewing a home they like online. If your home was for sale, what would they see?

Landscaping plays a major role in the curb appeal of any property. Overgrown lawns and shrubs leave the impression that the property is not well-maintained. In contrast, careful landscaping offers a clean, manicured look and is naturally more visually appealing. Adding some carefully arranged, well-tended shrubs, flowers, and greenery can be the finishing touch for creating curb appeal.

Just remember that if your home’s curb appeal makes a great first impression, everyone — including potential homebuyers — will want to see what’s inside. Low-voltage makes a huge impact on your home’s curb appeal while also providing safety and security. Fixtures can add accent lighting to trees or the house or can illuminate a walking path. If you aren’t able to use  that require wiring, install solar fixtures (but understand that their light levels are not as bright or as reliable).

But you have to have something for the lighting to highlight as as visual appeal during the day. Get  beds into shape by pruning growth, pulling weeds, planting flowers, and adding new mulch to restore that was taken away by sunlight and harsh weather. If stone or brick borders your bed, consider cleaning and resetting any pieces that are soiled or dislodged. If your border is old or tired-looking, try upgrading to stone or a decorative cast-concrete edging system for improved curb appeal.  Add contrast to your home exterior with a new planting bed. Prime spots for curb appeal are at the front corners of the yard, along driveways or walkways, and immediately in front of the house.

Small changes can totally transform the look and appeal of any property.  Not sure where to start?  We can help you make the most of your curb appeal today.

Lawn Services Sebastian

Mowing lawns here in Florida isn’t for everybody. That’s why I built Country Green Landscaping and Lawn Services. I have been working around lawns for as long as I can remember. When I saw the opportunity to establish my own Lawn Service and Landscape business, I jumped on it and have been going strong ever since.

There are lots of people with an old truck and a lawn mower who jump into the business. But most of them don’t last very long. I have been in this business for over 10 years now, and I am to stay around for a long time.

At Country Green Landscaping and Lawn Services, we have people on our staff who actually know what they are doing. Our Lawn Services include cutting your grass at the proper height. Edging shrubs and bushes and pruning plants in order for them to thrive during he year.

We have different plans for every household, including one a month, or once a week, or every other week mowing, edging and trimming services for your yard.

For a fee we will plant your flowers and bulbs to keep your yard looking bright and cheery.  Our staff will never just mow your lawn and head out.  It is our goal to always leave you with a lawn that looks well cared for and healthy.

We know that every lawn we care for is our calling card. People see the name of our company on our trucks and if we leave your lawn looking beautiful week after week, there is a good chance other home owners will give us a call and want to engage our services. by the same token, if, when we are through working on your lawn, it does not look good, that will cause people to use someone else.

Country Green Landscaping and Lawn Service cares about your lawn and landscape. Give us a call, we can discuss a plan for making your lawn look good.

Create a Destination in Your Yard

Here in Florida, the yard sizes can be quite large, and yet people don’t often spend time outside. Why is that? Some designers say it’s because there is nothing in the yard to draw people out of doors.

Early spring is a good time to install new sod. If your lawn is looking less than beautiful, it could be time to design a new landscape for your yard, and part of that new landscape design could be installing new sod.

Country Green Online, Landscape and Lawn Services

When I run into people while I am out working or purchasing supplies for our lawn and landscape jobs, people notice my company name on my shirts and they will ask, “What is it that you do?”. Being a person who loves his work and isn’t one bit shy about sharing, I tell them.

First of all I brag a little and let them know that I own and operate Country Green Landscaping and Lawn. Then, I tell them about some of the things we do.  Our steady, year round business is in lawns. We install sod, shrubs and flowers and then we usually end up with a steady customer who wants us to come and take care of their yard.

Because yards don’t grow and thrive without water, we also help our customers with the maintenance or replacement of sprinkler heads. Sprinkler heads can wear out or get damaged by the mowers, so it’s important to keep them in good repair. We do that for our clients.

Yards look best when they are healthy and thriving so you can hire us to Fertilize your lawn and garden on a regular schedule. There are times of the year when you yard can look a little worse for the wear, but if you don’t know the ins and outs of your county’s fertilizer rules and regs, you can get yourself in trouble, AND you could hurt our local eco system. It’s best to call a pro.

Besides our basic lawn service plus yearly shrub and turf fertilizer, weed control in landscaped areas we can also be contracted to keep your  bushes trimmed monthly or  as needed.

I know that spring is when most people start thinking about lawn care, but I am here to tell you that winter is the best time to sit back, look around and notice things. What area of your yard looks a little shabby. Where could you use more color and warmth. If you are having trouble keeping certain plants alive, then perhaps we can help you find ones you will love, but they will also fare better in the Florida weather?

For all of your landscape and lawn service needs, consider Country Green Landscaping and Lawn Service if you live in Grant, Sebastian, or Palm Bay.

Lawn Care In Florida Winters

Our lawns here in Florida have a slightly different schedule than in some other parts of the country. They get hot in the summer, cool in the winter evenings and our soil here is very sandy. While we mow lawns here in Indian River and Brevard Counties each week in the summer time, during the cooler months of fall and winter, we mow less  frequently.
